Restaurant Mana Saronno
An adventure. Truly an adventure. The meeting with this “crazy” customer who in the midst of the COVID period decides to start putting his restaurant on track. But the “crazy” in his idea is not alone … he is accompanied by a force of nature: “the Betta”. The “crazy” and the “Betta” show me their idea of a place: an atypical space without a logical thread characterized by the imperfection of the interior finishes and furnishings. The idea rapes me, accustomed as I am to the order of forms and symmetries; but the challenge convinces me. Meanwhile, COVID gallops and the works don’t even start. But despite all the “crazy” and “the Betta” do not give up, they persevere, they insist: their desire to do, to restart, to experiment is enormous. And finally the works begin and the idea of the rebirth venue finally takes shape; deliberately irregular, deliberately not perfect, deliberately characterized by poor and recycled materials, deliberately coloured. In short, the most total disorder, in open contrast with the perfection of the shapes and with the refinement of the dishes that the chef will propose. Sometimes, to make a dream come true it takes courage and a pinch of audacity … and in this the “crazy” and the “Betta” no one beats them … good luck guys. Fuck COVID and long live the wolf!
